About Us
The Children's Media Archive is meant to be a fun resource to view and learn about films, radio programs, television programs and other forms of audio-visual media produced mainly between 1910 - 1990 that were consumed by or produced for children and adolescents.
This CMA is based on a theory that the study of historic children's media can still inspire people today in the creation of new media. It is also a test project for future publications on children's media histories.
Entertaining and educational media alike can be seen here with respect to copyright and fair use. The channel is maintained by "Archivebuilder" or the "Children's Media Archivist". Both are test aliases for James R. Stewart Jr., an independent researcher and finder of children's media. From flashbacks of a favorite TV special to a rarely seen short film enjoy, it all (eventually) be seen here with the Children's Media Archive.
If any of the material displayed on this website is copyrighted and its use does not adequately fall into fair use, and if you own the right to such property, please contact me immediately at archivebuilder@gmail.com, specify the material, and I will remove this content at once.
"archivebuilder" is not affliated with a web contracted company by a similar name (Archive Builder - with a space). The nickname was devised several years ago during the quest for children's media history.
